Propertyroom - Claims of worth are ***
A few years ago I bid on "An authentic Sapphire ring that was worth $1000+. I bought it for like $14.00 + a crazy SHIPPING charge (a ring - that weighs barely an ounce!) of like $11.95.
I received the ring, brought it to my local jeweler and guess what it was worth? About $7.00. They claimed over $1000! I don't know who their appraisers are, but are obviously not very skilled at appraising jewelry.
And to have an outrageous 'standard' shipping rate for something that should have costed $1.00 to ship makes me think twice about this site. I'm having trouble believing this is just confiscated police property...
Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.
Monetary Loss: $25.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.
Propertyroom Cons: Shipping charges, Claims of how much the item was worth.
